Funfair Project Planning 2 - Colourful Cupcakes

The funfair is drawing nearer. We have 4 weeks left to plan and put together a range of bakes that we are selling. All proceeds for this fund raising event will go to the church.

We have baked some chocolate cupcakes and decorated them with light Vanilla Italian Buttercream in different colours and sprinkle them with some colourful beads. Hopefully, both adults and children will find them irrestible !

Mango Mousse Cake - Attempt 1

Our bakers love this mango mousse cake. It is decorated with fresh slices of mangoes and mango cubes in between the mousse and cake layers.

However, our bakers are not ready to put this up on the menu. Some fine tune on the mousse texture will be good . It will require feedbacks and consenus from our target group testers before this cake is moved to the "Menu".

Strawberry Mousse Cake - Attempt 1

This is a very refreshing mousse cake.

We are doing some fine tuning to get a crystal clear and smooth topping. Not quite there yet....

Tuiles - Attempt 1

A friend of ours brought back some Hokkaido cookies that supposed to be their famous "must-haves".

Inspired by that, we tried our own version with using tuiles and experimenting on the shapes and fillings. Not quite there yet, the white chocolate fillings are too sweet for our likings, dark chocolates work fine.

Fun Fair Project Planning 1 - Pandan Chiffon Cakes in Cups

Executive Bakes will be sponsoring an up & coming church fun fair in September'10 for fund raising. Our team of bakers have started to come together and plan the items that we are going to bake and sell.

Pandan Chiffon Cakes baked in cup liners is somewhat like a cupcake indeed. It can be used as base for cupcakes or you can simply eat it on its own. It is just as delicious.

The fresh coconut milk with pandan juice are just a perfect match in heaven ! It is moist and not dry, light and not overly sweet so you can just treat yourself to more than 1 piece.
